An ancient compact among Europe’s wizards, or Gifted, bars them from using magic against each other for national gain. Each nation has a Conclave of its Gifted and a Council charged with enforcing that law.

Sometimes, though, you have to break the rules to avert disaster. Thus the Merlin Club was born. A group of English Gifted, they operate in secret lest they draw the ire of their Council. When magic threatens the peace and security of the realm, they rise to the challenge. No matter what that requires them to do.
